Where you are now

Your step is how many performance advances you have received in your current grade: Hiring Rate if none yet, numbered steps in between, or Job Rate if you have topped out. Your start date in the grade sets when your advances land. Salaries shown are the 2026–27 schedule; the 2025–26 schedule appears as a historical reference.

Projection through the contract

The across-the-board raise lands on your whole salary each spring. Your performance advance lands on your step date, so an April 1 step arrives with the raise and an October 1 step arrives mid-year. The timeline below lists every dated change through the end of 2030, the last year with a contract raise, with each gain split into raise and step.

Every step and every raise

Read down a column to see every step from Hiring Rate to Job Rate in one schedule year. Read across a row to see what the contract raises alone do to a step. Your own path moves diagonally, because each year you get the raise and, until Job Rate, a step as well.

Beyond the paycheck

Salary is only part of State compensation. These tabs put a dollar value on the rest where a published figure supports one, using the grade and step you chose above, and describe the benefits that have no price tag.
